Compare and Contrast

This was such an accomplishment I have been trying to photograph this bird for a month now and Finally I have got him and he just let me take pictures of him. I really like the one of him standing there with his head turned. The second one is him flying away I like this one because you can see how long he is. But you have to really look because the water is helping him hide. I like the one of him standing because you can really see him and his pretty blue color. I must have took about 30 photos of him before he flew away.

Anni,

Congrats on finally capturing this bird on "film".

I really like the first photo of the crane because you can see a lot of the features. I also like close-ups versus distance shots. I have a bad habit of shooting too tight, and thereby making it hard to enlarge a photo beyond a certain size before it starts to crop the image too much. Both shoots leave plenty of area to comfortably crop before and after if desired.

Congrats on getting a shot of Mr Bird! You should have seen him the other day sitting on the dock. I was so upset that I didn't have my camera. Great Shots Anni!!

The profile shot is fantastic. I love that feeling when you finaly get that shot you've dreaming of. I had a pelican giving me the run around in Florida once, and I never was able to snap a shot like that. Well done!

Wow, your first shot is incredible! don't get me wrong, I like them both lol, but the first one definitely captures the detail. Nice job!

Where were these taken that you were able to catch a heron at the same spot for a month? These shots are beautiful.
