final project

Portraits

So I have finally taken a portrait that I like, I think the hardest part was figuring out what to take the pictures of When I tried using kids they looked fake, because they were trying to hard to smile right, so I chose to use Toby the dog!

Text....

So I chose these two photos because the one of Toby in the christmas stocking is going to be our Christmas card, and thought that would be a neat one to put text in! and the other photo speaks for itself! My husband and I took the dog out and the cat was looking out the door and wanted to come out, Well we live on main Street and our pets Do Not go out without leashes ( just in case you were wondering why there was a leash on the cat).

Filters

I must say this is the coolest thing!! I can not believe how different it makes a picture! the Second Picture is of "A" and our new puppy Toby, on Halloween. I have changed the photo to the graphic pen filter. The First photo is taken the same day just "A" is giving Toby kisses!! I changed this photo with Pallette Knife, I like the blurriness of this photo. This was the first time "A" met Toby, the last time she came to visit she played with Bandit, Who passed away a few weeks ago, and the first thing she asked was where he was, but quickly took to Toby, and said "this doggy is very cute!" after I shed a few tears having to explain that Bandit was in Doggy Heaven. Just wanted to give a little background of this photo!

Photoshop 2......

I enjoyed playing with the lighting and contrast, BUT it was also VERY frustrating, when I could not get it the way I wanted it..... Picture 1 is of is of "E" I also played with the brightness and contrast the Brightness was changed to +82 and the Contrast was changed to +21.... Picture 2"T" and I changed the Brightness to +36 and the Contrast to +56, I like the way the colors are and how his face looks.I like "T's" picture better but "E's" picture is also a favorite of mine.....

Photoshop 1....

Ok so hopefully this is what I was supposed to do with last weeks assignment, I completly forgot to post it, here is is late.... I love the Pilgrim Monument in Provencetown Ma.. and the beach in Cape Code so I decided to combine the two......here goes, this was no an easy move I have a shakey hand so it was VERY difficlut to cut out the monument and place it on the beach........

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to post these, No one believes me that there was snow on Saturday! It was ONLY 20 degree's at the top of Jay, I think my favorite of these three pictures is the middle one, at first glance it looks like the sun is setting but the color is actually foliage!

A little off....... Jay Peak

As I said in my previous post this week I focused on Jay Peak, and here are a few more pictures. The first one Jay Peak is off center, and the second one it is centered, I personally really like the second one because of the Colors in the trees is more noticeable. What does everyone think?

Framing!

I just want to say this was not easy, neither the picture taking nor the creating the slide show! But in the midst of this week I did get to go to the top of Jay Peak for the first time! There is SNOW up there already! It was Freezing! We went yesterday, it was 20 degrees at the top! So this week my picture taking was all centered on Jay Peak. There are a few pictures that were taken a while ago but most of them were taken yesterday. Finding the "frame" was the hardest part!

Lighting

This is bandit, he unfortunately is not very photogenic, he HATES to sit still! The first 2 were taken outside, no flash, The first picture is my favorite because "A" Loves to give him kisses, and I think it is a cute picture. The third picture was taken inside with a flash and the forth was without a flash, inside of course.

I Definitely don't like the forth one because it is blurry and he looks yellow. The pictures taken outside are the best. I have no over head lights in my house because it is so old so all the light was from lamps I think that makes a big difference also.

Opposites Attract

Opposites Attract I thought this was a neat name for a picture that both the colors are basically opposite on the color wheel.....( I used the macro setting on my camera).

Monochrome Color Scheme

This Picture is a Monochrome color scheme because it is all different blue shades, this is one of my favorite pictures I have taken so far, I think it is neat the way the clouds are streaking upwards, and the dark cloud is heading in. There will be more pictures to come.

Compare and Contrast

This was such an accomplishment I have been trying to photograph this bird for a month now and Finally I have got him and he just let me take pictures of him. I really like the one of him standing there with his head turned. The second one is him flying away I like this one because you can see how long he is. But you have to really look because the water is helping him hide. I like the one of him standing because you can really see him and his pretty blue color. I must have took about 30 photos of him before he flew away.

Lonely

Today on my lunch break I decided to take my camera and head over to the NY bridge, My coworker and I decided to pull over at the pull of and take some pictures of Fort Blunder in Canada and I happened to notice this lonely Sea Gull hanging out on water. I thought it was a neat picture!
